Joint Chapter Meeting July 2009

Our Joint meeting with SIA and PSRC Toastmasters Club on 23th July 2009 was an eventful one. Our Area Governor Richard Tay, ACG CL came with his signature Bow Tie and give us a charismatic 15 minute inspiration address to all 3 clubs.

The main focus of this Joint meeting was the installation of the new Exco of the 3 clubs for the term 2009-2010. Our Area Governor was able to execute the installation progress in a stylish and swift way covering all vital points without boring the audience. This is something we can learn from a veteran Toastmaster.

The other highlight of the evening is our quarterly excellence speaker series, the first speaker kicking off this series was our invited expert speaker DTM Chong Soon Onn, he is currently the Managing Director and Master Trainer of Brian Tracy Training Consultancy Singapore his topic for the evening was ” The Formula of Success“. His awesome sharing has left us greatly inspired and till now his message still resonate in our minds even we have long left the meeting.

The biggest take away of the evening was the fun, laughter and joy which was also the word of the day, we experience in this chapter meeting. We had ball of a good time without forgetting the Vision of Toastmasters which is to nurture leadership and public speaking skills.
