The Victory Speech

Those who have watched the victory speech by President-Elect Obama, will agree with me that It was moving, empowering and almost life-affirming.

I have heard and read criticisms that his speeches are fill with rhetoric ( colourful play of words) — implying that they are empty without substance and somehow not worthy.

If you understand “The Art of Public Speaking” you will know rhetoric has its place and value as it acts as an anchor to your speech and enable your audience to have something to hang on to and bring home.

We all know that public speaking is a process and it takes continuously learning and application to make this process a more effective and efficient one. “Yes We Can”

A Lesson on Teamwork

Nurturing Leaders is one of the major objective of Toastmasters. Not many people can achieve a goal alone, but with effective Teamwork it makes things easier. Teamwork is the body that support the growth of a club. This video is a lesson we can learn from geese about why teamwork is so powerful.
